You can travel to our headquarters by foot, bike or by public transport:

By bus
The following buses stop outside or close to the hospital on Whitechapel Road: numbers 25, 106, 205, 253 and 254 as well as night buses N25, N106 and N253

Bus numbers 15, 115 and D3 also stop close to the hospital on Commercial Road.

By tube
The closest tube stations are Whitechapel and Shadwell all are between 5-10 minutes walk. Whitechapel is served by the District line and Hammersmith and City line and London Overland line. Shadwell is served by the Overland line and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

By train
Liverpool Street is the nearest National Rail station.

By car or taxi
There are no parking spaces at the Trust Headquarters and on-street parking is very limited in the area. There are some disabled parking spaces in the surrounding roads.

By bike
Barclays cycle hire docking points are available on Commercial Road.

Canary Wharf is the home of group support services at Barts Health. You can travel to Canary Wharf by foot, bike or by public transport:

By bus

D3 - Bethnal Green to Canary Wharf

D7 - Mile End to Canary Wharf

D8 - Stratford to Canary Wharf

135 - Moorfields to Canary Wharf

277 - Highbury and Islington to Canary Wharf

By train

Canary Wharf underground station (Zone 2) which is on the Jubilee line and Canary Wharf  DLR (Zone 2). When Crossrail is complete, this will provide additional rail links to this location.

By car

There are four car parks situated in Canary Wharf:

  • Cabot Square Car Park: entrance on Cooks Close (use E14 4PA for sat nav)
  • Canada Square Car Park: entrance on Montgomery Street (use E14 5EW for sat nav)
  • Jubilee Place Car Park: entrance on Bank Street (use E14 5NY for sat nav)
  • Westferry Circus Car Park: entrance on West India Avenue (use E14 4HD for sat nav)

There is a height restriction of 2.0m in all car parks and all the public car parks at Canary Wharf hold Park Mark safer parking awards.

Where staff already have an excess travel allowance in place, they will need to complete the claim form to re-assess their entitlement based on the new location to check whether it still applies.
