Sanjula is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a special interest in infertility, and she has proudly served at Newham Hospital for the past 16 years. Her medical training was undertaken across various NHS Trusts in North East London, providing me with a strong foundation in women’s health and patient-centered care.

Over the years, she has held a range of leadership roles, including Gynaecology Lead and Clinical Director role for Women’s Services. Since March 2025, as Divisional Director for Women’s and Children’s Services, she leads service development and quality improvement initiatives.

She is deeply committed to enhancing care for the young, diverse, and often vulnerable population of Newham. Her passion lies in delivering culturally sensitive, personalised care plans that address the unique needs of women, children, and their families. She believes in actively listening to our community—understanding their lived experiences and the barriers they face in accessing healthcare—and using their voices to shape better, more inclusive services.
