Joni Ferns
Joni is the chief operating officer of Police Now, an award-winning social enterprise that recruits and trains talented, diverse graduates to become exceptional policing leaders and transform communities. She is responsible for leading the business infrastructure and operations of the organisation, including finance, HR, IT, data and research, as well as incubating and testing new services and products and managing government relationships. Furthermore, Joni is Police Now’s executive sponsor for diversity and inclusion, as a passionate expert in positive action and developing innovative strategies for improving outcomes for those from underrepresented groups.
In her previous career as a management consultant, Joni developed extensive experience in large-scale transformation within public services and challenging the status quo to improve outcomes for users.
Joni is also trustee at Kite International, an international development charity, and recently completed an MBA at London Business School. In 2022 she was named one of Management Today’s 35 Women under 35.
