Thank you for your support

We could not offer all we do for our patients without the support of our charities and their teams of fundraisers who help support our work here across all our hospitals – they fund extras that would not be paid for on the NHS. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all their efforts and to tell you a little about them.

If you are able to join in by organising your own event, joining one of the organised events or simply donating, you will make a huge difference to the care we provide in our hospitals.

Barts Charity

Barts Charity is the dedicated charity for our hospitals. They believe in extraordinary health care for all and their mission is to help us deliver the most amazing care possible.

Last year the charity awarded us £15 million to fund innovative healthcare projects across our hospitals. All of the projects Barts Charity fund make a direct and real difference to our patients, their families and our staff.

From the research that can bring us closer to finding a cure for cancer, to the state-of-the-art equipment that allows our patients to recover quicker.

Barts Charity could not do this without the incredible kindness and generosity of their many supporters. Find out how you can support your hospital at bartscharity.org.uk

Voluntary Board of St Bartholomew's Hospital

The Voluntary Board of St Bartholomew's Hospital is an independent charity which devotes its resources to support patients and staff at St Bartholomew’s.

The charity makes grants to patients, as well as to their relatives and carers, and to the staff of the hospital, to ensure the best possible experience for those receiving their care at St Bartholomew's.

In particular, they aim to help with some of the small things a patient or family member may require, which can make a big difference at a difficult time. Typical grants range from a few pounds or, in exceptional circumstances, up to £25,000.

Who is eligible?

Grants are made to patients, relatives, and carers. In addition, grants are made to hospital departments or staff on behalf of departments. There are also specific staff funds as a result of donations made by donors for this purpose.
