Dr John Conibear, Director of Clinical Services

St Bartholomew's Hospital deputy medical director

Dr John Conibear graduated from the University Hospital of Wales in 2001 and completed his post-graduate general medical training at the Barts and The London in 2006. Before gaining his substantive post as a consultant clinical oncologist at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2014, he completed a two-year fellowship with the NCRI Radiotherapy Trials Quality Assurance Group in Mount Vernon Hospital. Dr Conibear is deputy medical director of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, deputy director of the Barts Cancer Centre and divisional director for the hospital’s new clinical services division. He is also the lead for chemotherapy and clinical director for thoracic oncology. He is currently the centre lead for the GenesisCare radiotherapy department in the Cromwell Hospital and the oncology clinical lead for the National Lung Cancer Audit (NLCA).
