The Acute Medicine department is undergoing a period of expansion and service development in conjunction with the local health economy to provide a first class service to our local population. We have an amazing opportunity for staff nurses seeking band 5 rotational positions in acute medicine. The rotations will be within the Medicine Department which includes the following specialty areas Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrine, Gastroenterology and Respiratory.

We have a huge range of clinical specialities on our wards (ENT including caring for patients with a tracheostomy & laryngectomy, orthopaedic, gynaecology, Max Fax, breast, general surgery and urology) so a vast amount of experience can be gained. There are opportunities for progression in banding and we actively encourage professional development and support courses that are relevant to the clinical area and can benefit patients.
We can also offer a one off placement in ITU/HDU for a short period of time to enhance your skills and expertise. You will be encouraged to be a confident, independent practitioner.

Neonatal intensive care unit
We are looking for passionate and motivated nurses who wants to belong to a friendly and welcoming community.
Whipps cross neonatal unit is a small and busy local neonatal unit (level 2) and we have 18 cots, and serve a maternity unit delivering 5,000 babies yearly.
We focus on family, and ensuring that babies leave here with parents who are emotionally and physically ready. We are highly motivated, and this translates into high breast feeding rates among discharged babies, and excellent service user satisfaction.
Our nursing team is a blend of experienced band 7s, 6s and nursery nurses, as well as less experienced band 5 nurses. We actively encourage professional development and our practice development nurse co-ordinates educational opportunities for all staff, according to their needs and special interests.
