Hospital choir shines at Stratford’s Christmas light switch-on

This past Friday, the holiday spirit was in full swing as our hospital staff choir performed festive carols in Stratford town centre. They were joined by local school children and Newham Music, creating a heart-warming display of community and joy.

The choir, which has been spreading cheer for over six years, consists of dedicated members from all corners of the hospital. From radiographers and nurses to administrative teams and clinicians, the group is a true reflection of the diverse and passionate people who make up our healthcare community.

This festive performance wasn’t just about bringing Christmas cheer to Newham it was also a chance to connect our staff with the community in a festive way.

Jo Knox from Vital Arts shared her excitement: “It was so wonderful to see the happy, smiling faces in the crowd, singing along with us! Well done to everyone involved, and I can’t wait for more in the New Year!”

Jennifer Walker, our associate director of site operations and community engagement, added: “I get so much joy from the rehearsals as well as the performances. Thank you all for being a part of it! Can’t wait for what’s to come!”

If you missed the performance, don’t worry! Here are a few photos to help you relive the magic.
