We welcomed local MP, Calvin Bailey, to Whipps Cross Hospital's Emergency Department where we have improved and strengthened the service for patients.

For more than five years, the End-of-Life Care (EOLC) Champions programme at Whipps Cross Hospital has been transforming how patients and their loved ones experience care at the most critical moments. 

Prof Sami Hoque has taken up a new role as the assistant medical director for research and development at the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK.

Last month, we welcomed people from a range of faiths and diverse backgrounds for a special evening exploring the power of prayer.

Dozens of residents from across  north east  London have taken their first steps into NHS careers through our Barts Health paid pre‑employment placement scheme. 

The facility, which first opened in 2008, has run studies spanning dermatology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology. Some studies have led to treatments now approved for conditions such as psoriasis and ulcerative colitis.

We welcomed a wonderful selection of animals to the Wellbeing Hub at Whipps Cross Hospital, bringing our staff, volunteers and students a moment of joy.
