Why work for us

We were voted a top 10 UK hospital in 2021 and have a range of BMJ and HSJ award-winning teams and clinicians who are leaders in their fields.

In a recent NHS staff survey our staff rated us as above the London average for staff engagement and morale.

Situated in beautiful surroundings close to St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, St Bartholomew’s Hospital has excellent public transport links and is close to a number of bars, restaurants, shops and other cultural attractions, making it a truly great place to work.

You can be part of the difference we make.

Clinical and professional development

We want all of our 2,000 staff to be experts in their field. That’s why our education team commissions a number of specialist courses and training programmes each year, including study days, clinical supernumery time and the opportunity to observe care in other settings.

Team building is important too. We organise regular team days to give our staff the opportunity to review procedures and develop improvements.
