Celebrating 50 Years of The King’s Trust

Our colleagues recently had the privilege of attending The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

Agnieszka Wrobel, programme manager of Healthcare Horizons and Rukshana Begum, health careers outreach co-ordinator, were at the celebration, which brought together partners, supporters and friends to mark five decades of impact, during which The King’s Trust has supported 1.5 million young people across the UK and beyond.

Through the Healthcare Horizons programme, jointly funded by The King’s Trust and Barts Charity, our team supports around 60 local young people each year to access employment opportunities within Barts Health NHS Trust.

Sitting within the Public Health team, Healthcare horizons works closely with young people in local schools and colleges to break down barriers to NHS recruitment and open pathways into meaningful, long‑term careers, including work experience, mentoring and career events.

Agnieszka said: “A huge thank you to The King’s Trust for the invitation and for their continued partnership to support young people to thrive. Being part of this milestone celebration was a wonderful reminder of the power of collaboration and of the difference we can make when we work together.”
