Finalists announced for the 2022 HSJ Partnership Awards
Barts Health NHS Trust is leading the way with six teams shortlisted in seven categories in the competitive HSJ Partnership Awards.
The Awards celebrate and showcase those collaborations and partnerships driving transformation and improving patient outcomes across the NHS, recognising their outstanding contribution to healthcare – in what has been an exceptional and challenging period across the sector.
Despite the demanding circumstances of the past two years, the volume and standards of applications has been a true testament to those health and social care staff, who continue to push outstanding work and transformational projects across the sector.
Bedside Learning Coordinator Approach to Care Redesign
Andrew Wragg, director of quality and safety at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, led this project, which is a finalist in the category for Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Design. He commented:
“The roll out of the Bedside Learning Coordinator (developed at the Nightingale Hospital London) into the Queen Elizabeth ICU at The Royal London Hospital and St Bartholomew's Hospital ICU, was extremely helpful during the second wave of the pandemic.”
“It allowed us to collect real time intelligence of how the units were running as well as identifying numerous areas that needed improving.”
Over the Rainbow
Ros Waring, corporate events manager at Barts Health led the planning and organising of the event ‘Over the Rainbow’, which is currently in the running for Workforce and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year. She commented:
“All the Barts Health NHS Trust staff and volunteers went above and beyond during the pandemic.”
“Our partnership with Barts Charity and Loaded Productions enabled us to deliver an innovative and ground-breaking virtual thank you event, not only to our 24,000 staff and volunteers, but to their friends and family.”
“If you missed the virtual event, you can still enjoy the feature film and the amazing song sung by staff.”
