International Nurses Day 2022

Happy International Nurses Day!

International Nurses Day is celebrated annually on 12 May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth, and its a chance for us to reflect upon the achievements of our nurses over the last year.

The theme for this year's celebration is ‘a voice to lead - invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health’ and to mark this, we asked Barts Health staff why our nurses inspire them.

Watch: a special message from Chief Nurse Caroline Alexander

"I am so incredibly proud to be the chief nurse here at Barts Health, and I want to say a massive thank you to all our nurses and midwives. Your contributions- not just today, but every day- means we can continue to provide excellent patient centred care through all stages of life."

Say thank you

It's important for our staff to remember how valued they are, so we encourage patients and their families to leave kind messages and say thank you for the brilliant care they received.

If you would like leave message, please visit our Thank You page on our website.
