New multistorey car park opening soon at Whipps Cross Hospital

Entrance to Whipps Cross Hospital's brand new multistorey car park

If you’ve seen the new multistorey car park taking shape at Whipps Cross Hospital, we’re pleased to confirm it will open at 6am on Monday 3 November.

The new facility will offer a mix of public and staff parking, including:

  • 66 visitor spaces
  • 434 staff spaces
  • 100 electric vehicle (EV) charging points, priced at similar rates to home charging

This marks an important milestone in the wider redevelopment of Whipps Cross Hospital, which will see the site transformed into a modern, sustainable healthcare campus.

From 1 November 2025, our pay-as-you-go parking provider in visitor car parks will change from RingGo to APCOA.

If you use pay-as-you-go parking – including in the new multistorey – you’ll need to download the APCOA Connect app before the new system goes live. You’ll still be able to pay by card or cash, and there will be no immediate changes to parking charges.

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to improve Whipps Cross for patients, visitors and staff alike.

Hi Martin - the new multi-storey will provide 66 extra public car parking spaces of which 10 are blue badge disabled. 16 are equipped with EV charge points for public use too.
Hi Pat - No, the current large temporary staff car park will close and be cordoned off with hoardings ready to start building the new hospital as soon as the go ahead is given. The temporary public car park next to the new multi-storey will remain open for the public to use.
