Seven CCGs come together as one
As of today, April 1, the seven CCGs in north east London have formally come together as one new clinical commissioning group for NEL – the NHS North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (NEL CCG).
This will allow Barts Health to work in a more joined up and collaborative way, building on the achievements of the North East London Commissioning Alliance.
NEL CCG will continue to be a clinically led organisation with strong clinical leadership and a GP voice at all levels.
There will be one NEL CCG governing body with many decisions taking place through local governance arrangements.
North East London Health and Care Partnership (NEL HCP) is now an Integrated Care System (ICS).
ICSs are partnerships between the organisations that meet health and care needs across an area, to coordinate services and to plan in a way that improves population health and reduces inequalities between different groups.
