Spotlight on... International Clinical Trials Day

This week we celebrate International Clinical Trials Day and host an important conference on research, encouraging patients and staff to participate in research.

This week’s Research Matters event (Wednesday) will focus on patients’ experience of taking part in research, highlighting some of the different ways research staff are working to inform their patients about opportunities to take part in studies and to provide them with the best possible experience of taking part in research.

For International Clinical Trials Day 2019, three of our fab research managers from St Bartholomew's Hospital tell us why research is so important to them, what it means for patients and how it feels to be nominated for a Nursing Times Award.

We also shine a spotlight on the clinical trial programme at Whipps Cross Hospital which is helping patients that suffer with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) manage their condition.

In our latest poll, many of you told us that you hadn't taken part in research before. Find out how you can get involved in your area here!
