Staff nominated for Nursing Times Workforce Awards

A project to digitise safety huddles and our director for inclusion at The Royal London Hospital have both been shortlisted for a 2025 Nursing Times Workforce Award.
Our digitaly enabled clinical site safety huddle at The Royal London Hospital has been nominated in the Best Use of Workplace Technology category. The project was developed to support staff in delivering safe, effective care after the team realised traditional huddles lacked real-time data, leading to fragmented communication and delayed actions.
In response, they introduced a live digital whiteboard showing key clinical and operational indicators to streamline workflows and support safer proactive decision-making using actionable data insights.
Tris Kerr, director of nursing and governance at The Royal London Hospital, said: “I have been so impressed with what has been created, we now are in a new location, with live data from each ward area which allows us to have real time conversations and escalation linked to safety.”
Our inclusion director Suminthra Naidu has also been nominated in the Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year category.
She said: “I feel really honoured to have this nomination. Anything I have delivered in the EDI space has been inspired by the lived experience of both our staff and patients.”
At last year’s awards, Barts Health was named Best Employer for Staff Recognition and Engagement for our recognition platform, Barts Hearts.
