How did you feel after winning a Barts Health Heroes award?

June: It’s enlightening, we’re able to celebrate not just ourselves, but right across Barts Health and see that we are all working to a very high standard and it’s not going unnoticed.

Lucie: We really needed this night. It’s great to come together with the rest of the Barts Health teams and celebrate this huge achievement, It’s a huge honour.

Rohit: My team and I were happy that we got nominated. To actually win the award was a very special feeling.

What does recognition mean to you?

Janet: Recognition gives people the ability to carry on and to know that someone is watching, and they are grateful.

Lucie: It’s a great feeling to be recognised for all the hard work and achievements that the team has done over the past two years. It’s a validation of what we do day in, day out. The team works so hard to give the right care to the patient at a time they need it.

What would you like to share with colleagues?

Helena: This pandemic has taken its toll on all of us in different manners, but we are always there for each other. Barts Health is a family, and we need to remember that.

June: I’m immensely proud to be a part of Nightingale Ward and to be a part of Barts Health.

Shabina: I just want to say thank you so much to everyone for supporting me, especially the ED team at Newham.
