Celebrating Christmas

We have had many festive events across our hospitals on the lead up to Christmas.

Leyton Orient and Spurs spread Christmas cheer at Whipps Cross Hospital, handing out gifts to our young patients and staff.

Frank Charles also made an appearence bringing festive cheer to the children at Whipps Cross Hospital's Acorn Ward. Inspired by his son, he has been delivering gifts to the hospital since 2004. This annual visit has become a cherished tradition.

At Newham Hospital St Edward's Catholic Primary School in Upton Park and St Antony's Catholic Primary School in Forest Gate came together to sing Christmas carols at the hospital’s Christmas like switch on, in their first ever performance for staff, patients and visitors.

Players from West Ham United also shared the festive joy across multiple departments including intensive care and A&E, as well giving out gifts to the children in our Rainbow Ward.

Finally at Newham, kids in Newham’s Rainbow Ward were treated to a Christmas party thanks to CME group, for their generous donation of entertainment, food and Santa’s grotto and Michael Magbagbeola, director of people, delivered some gifts to the children from his charity Save The King.

St Bartholomew’s Hospital held inaugural Christmas carol service at London’s oldest parish church. Staff and volunteers were warmly invited to sing traditional carols, with mince pies and mulled wine.

The choir from St Paul's Cathedral School also performed Christmas classics by the Christmas tree in the hospital’s main atrium.
