Patients are feeling positive about their care
Figures from a national survey have revealed that patients are feeling positive about the care they received.
In the 2025 Adult Inpatient Survey, we scored nine out of ten for patients feeling like they are being treated with dignity, having confidence in our doctors and nurses and privacy for examinations.
The results show patients overall experience is in line with our competitor trusts and we scored better than others for our virtual wards.
Our position has improved since last year however there is still room for improvement as we scored worse than expected when it comes to care available after discharge.
Beth Brown, director of patient experience and community engagement at Barts Health, said: "Patients have praised our doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals as well as issues like privacy and pain management.
"This is the first time since 2021 that we have scored better than expected in this survey and the findings are in line our PALS data and Friends and Family Test responses.
"We recognise there is more to do, particularly around discharge, ensuring patients and families feel fully involved in decisions about their care, and the night time experience, and we are using the feedback to drive further improvements in these areas in particular."
A total of 352 Barts Health patients took part in the survey between January and April 2026.
