Meet Jessica, a staff nurse in the critical care team at The Royal London Hospital. After some time away from the hospital she returned in February 2021. Read on to find out what brought her back.

Meet Fatima, band 5 nurse, RLH

I joined ITU during the merge of the old Royal London building to the new site. Coming from a HDU background, my first year was predominantly spent training and upskilling, during which I had incredible support from our PDNs and senior staff who took an active role in my band 5 development and my progression to my current band 6 role.

I joined the critical care team as a band 5, thirsty for special skills and in search of a better opportunity and a new environment.

I made the decision to move to ICU as I liked the one nurse to one patient care. I can focus my attention on closely monitoring one patient and finish my shift feeling that I have done the best I can to help their recovery.
