  • I completed a degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University before switching to study and complete a degree in Medicine at Manchester University. Having worked at BHRUT for almost 10 years, with HIV inpatient responsibilities, I moved to Barts Health and set up Infectious Diseases and OPAT services. I have 70 peer reviewed publications and a particular interest in bacteraemic infections, TB, OPAT and returned travellers.

Treatments and procedures

  • I manage all types on infection, including those in critical care, and can perform lumbar punctures and lymph node aspirates.

Research interests

  • All my publications are visible at www.researchgate.net. Currently, my RG rating is 35.1.

Leadership roles

  • I have previously led the Department of Microbiology at BHRUT and the Department of Infection at Barts Health. I currently hold a trust-wide strategic role entitled ‘Clinical Network Director for Infectious Diseases’.
