Following a government review of the national New Hospital Programme, construction of the new hospital is now estimated to begin between 2032-34, with completion between 2036 and 2038.

The Integrated Delivery Framework (IDF) provided system-wide oversight of transformation programmes supporting the Whipps Cross redevelopment and addressing changing local health needs. The IDF Executive, chaired by the Whipps Cross Redevelopment Director and attended by senior representatives from partner organisations, monitored progress.
Progress was tracked through a dashboard covering prevention and demand management, urgent and emergency care, and inpatient flow. Although service transformation arrangements have since evolved, performance data and details of work delivered between 2022 and 2026 are available in the annual reports below.
