FREE things to do in London this Easter half term
Explore three incredible and totally FREE historic gems at St Bartholomew’s Hospital over the next two weeks.
Families can enjoy three heritage experiences at St Bartholomew’s Hospital this Easter half term.
First up, Barts North Wing, which is home to the magnificent historic interiors of the Great Hall and Hogarth Stair, designed by architect James Gibbs as part of his redesign of the hospital in the 1730s.
Visitors can also explore St Bartholomew’s Hospital Museum, which tells the story of nine centuries of healthcare and showcases objects from the diverse collections held by Barts Health Archives.
Both the North Wing and St Barts Museum are open on Monday 30* and Tuesday 31 March, and Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 April, 10am to 4pm.
*On Monday 30 April, join RIBA Learning at Barts North Wing between10:30am and 12pm and hone your drawings skills or loosen up by taking on the challenge of drawing with a long stick.
And, for a rare and exclusive opening, Barts Pathology Museum are hosting an open afternoon from 12pm to 4pm on Wednesday 1 April 2026. Entry is free, but an hour‑long slot must be booked in advance via Eventbrite .
