Fatima, band 5 nurse

Coming from a HDU background, my first year was predominantly spent training and upskilling, during which I had incredible support from our PDNs and senior staff who took an active role in my band 5 development and my progression to my current band 6 role.

Joining the team was one of the best decisions of my life. Critical care is very challenging, but it’s also been a great opportunity to learn new things and gain new skills. The critical care team at Whipps Cross are brilliant and I have learned a lot from them.
