Mrs Cordelia McKechnie
Consultant at Whipps Cross Hospital- Cordelia McKechnie is a London trained ophthalmic surgeon. She is currently Head of School for London ophthalmology training where she oversees circa 160 junior doctors training to become ophthalmic consultants. She has been passionate and involved in education for over 20 years.
- She studied at UMDS of Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals where she achieved a BSc in Immunology (2:1) and her MBBS. She won the Cheselden Medal and Beany award for Surgery at UMDS.
- She trained at many North London Hospitals most notably undertaking vitreoretinal fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and The Western Eye Hospital.
- Recently she undertook a master’s degree in medical education (merit) at Queen Mary’s University London.
