Dr Stephen Shepherd
Consultant at St Bartholomew's HospitalDr. Stephen Shepherd was appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospitals in August 2018. He has a special interest in echocardiography, extracorporeal organ support and cardiogenic shock. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging by nomination.
Dr. Shepherd is the inaugural clinical and operational lead for the London Adult Critical Care Transfer Service based out of the St. Bartholomew's site, a collaboration between Barts Health, Imperial College Healthcare and St. George's Hospitals NHS Trusts. His research interests including echocardiographic assessment of shock and management of cardiogenic shock in the interfacility environment.
