Dr Shanthini Crusz
Consultant at St Bartholomew's HospitalShanthini Crusz is a consultant medical oncologist and lead for acute oncology services at Barts Health.
Dr Crusz graduated from Imperial College London with a first-class honours in Immunology (BSc) and MBBS. She undertook general medical training in Cambridge and London, then specialist training in medical oncology at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
She was awarded a Cancer Research UK fellowship and attained a PhD in cancer biology from Barts Cancer Institute, with her project focussing on the role of the innate immune system in cancer.
Dr Crusz was appointed as a consultant medical oncologist specialising in skin cancers and gynae-oncology at St Bartholomew's Hospital in 2019.
She leads clinical trials of novel drugs in ovarian and skin cancers and has authored many scientific publications, book chapters and presented original research at international conferences.
