Our bereavement service offer a trustwide, individualised, culturally sensitive service. We provide comprehensive information, guidance and support for bereaved relatives and friends following the death of a loved one at Barts Health.

What do I do now?

Please call the relevant bereavement office on the next working day following your loved ones death and the team will advise you of the next steps.

If there is no response, please leave a voicemail. The team will get back to you as quickly as possible. Please do not come into the hospital

Our leaflet provides details of the next steps, including:

  • where to find local and national bereavement support.

Barts Health and St Joseph’s Hospice Annual Service of Remembrance

Held annually at St Paul's Cathedral, family and friends of all faiths and beliefs are welcome to attend - no ticket is required.

This year’s service will be held on 30th October 2022, please note the change in time to 5:30pm.
