Mr Ambekar works at consultant level at Barts Heart Centre in London. He is an experienced consultant, performing thousands of cardiac procedures over the last couple of decades.
He carries out all adult cardiac surgery, including complex redo surgery, multiple valve replacements, aortic surgery, endocarditis surgery, CABG with valve surgery, and surgeries for pericardial diseases and cardiac tumours.
His operative outcomes are consistently excellent and are published on NACSA (National Adult Cardiac Surgical Audit). Mr Ambekar receives very good reviews from his colleagues, patients and their families alike. He takes part in the annual appraisal process and follows all the domains of Good Medical Practice described by the GMC.
