Kim Kinnaird appointed as non-executive Director at Barts Health

Kim Kinnaird

Kim Kinnaird has been appointed as a non-executive director (NED) of Barts Health NHS Trust.

Kim is currently acting as Associate NED, and first joined Barts Health in 2017 as a ‘NexT Director’ through NHS Improvement’s structured NED development programme. The programme gives individuals the opportunity to learn first-hand about the challenges and opportunities associated with being a non-executive director in the NHS today.

She said: “I am delighted to be able to increase my involvement in the NHS as a non-executive director with Barts Health.  The last two years have taught me a great deal about the NHS, and the vital role that Barts Health plays within our local communities. I am very much looking forward to continuing to support and champion The Trust during a key phase of its development.”

A qualified lawyer with a background in debt restructuring, Kim joined Lloyd’s Banking Group in 2010 and has progressed swiftly in a range of different roles with a focus on performance, risk management and people management. She is currently the Banking and Trade Delivery Director for Lloyds Banking Group’s Commercial Bank.

“I am delighted that Kim has joined the full Board, where her commercial acumen and experience with large scale organisational and cultural change will be particular assets to us,” said Ian Peters, chair of the Trust.

“Following on from Kim’s appointment, I will be immediately seeking to secure a new associate director to increase representation from and engagement with our local communities.”
