Pathology Network Partnership: progress delayed due to COVID-19
In light of the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust have decided to delay proceedings on the new pathology network, which is due to launch later this year subject to Trust Boards’ approval.
This decision has not been made lightly, but it is critical that we enable our senior leaders at the three trusts, and pathology departments in particular, to focus their efforts on managing their hospital services at this challenging time.
This is an unfamiliar time for us all and we will continue to review the situation regularly and resume progress with the pathology partnership as soon as practical and will share a further update when appropriate.
