Strike action by Serco employees

Monday 24 July

There will be strike action at our Trust by Serco employees, who deliver soft facilities services on our behalf,  over a dispute with their employer. The strike will begin at 6am on Tuesday 25 July and will last for two weeks, ending on Tuesday 8 August at 5:59am. The affected hospitals are St Bartholomew’s, The Royal London, Mile End and Whipps Cross.

We have been working closely with both sides to find a resolution to this dispute, urging them to seek a solution through the mediation service ACAS.

Contingency plans are in place to minimise any disruption to staff and patients at our hospitals. All patient care at each of our hospitals will continue and we advise patients to attend their hospital appointments as normal.
