I was born in California, USA and moved to London in the early 90’s where I spent some years before moving to seminary to pursue my studies. My parents have been residents of Newham since the mid 70’s and it’s a place we’ve always called home.
Previously to my current role I was an Imam in USA for several years before moving back to the UK and continuing my role as an Imam here. I have worked with many different communities and organizations over the years, providing spiritual, pastoral and religious support. I have also worked for a Humanitarian Charity for over a decade aiding the less fortunate across the globe.
During the pandemic, I experienced a little of what it is like to be a hospital chaplain, it gave me an insight into the great work chaplains do. I then joined Barts Health in 2021.
I enjoy being able to provide support and care for patients, families, and staff in their time of need. I’m here to listen, to guide and to help people in incredibly difficult and challenging situations.
