Consultant at Newham Hospital
Ms Ferha Saeed is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Newham Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London.
She brings a wealth of experience spanning over a decade, having been trained at UK’s prestigious tertiary units including Centre for Fetal care at Imperial NHS trust and the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, St Bartholomew’s Hospital.
Her key clinical interests include:
Management of pregnancies in women with heart disesase
Fetal medicine ultrasound and invasive procedures
Menopause care and women’s midlife health
She performs specialised scans and diagnostic invasive procedures for complex pregnancies with fetal infections, Chromosomal, genetic diseases and fetal abnormalities. She leads and runs the maternal cardiology service for women with heart disease to provide an optimal outcome for their pregnancies. She also looks after menopausal women with complex medical morbidities.
She is actively engaged in research and education. Ms Saeed is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred, and evidence-based care. She is a firm believer in empowering women to be active participants in their healthcare journeys.
Outside of her professional life, Ferha enjoys cooking, travelling and physical fitness. She enjoys mentoring medical students and trainee doctors.
