Receiving and taking your medicines after outpatient appointments

If you have an appointment at hospital

You can collect your medicines from the hospital Lloyds Pharmacy, or we will deliver them to your home address. It’s your choice.

If you have a virtual appointment (by phone or video)

We can deliver your medicines to your home address, or you can collect from the hospital Lloyds Pharmacy.

This means you don’t have to go to hospital to get your medicines if you don’t need to.

Delivering your medicines

If you decide to have your medicines delivered, you will get them by courier or post.

We will let you know when your medicine is going to arrive.

Please try to be at home for the delivery.

If you can’t be at home, you should arrange for another adult to receive your medicines for you.

If no one is going to be at home, or your details have changed, let us know as soon as possible.

Taking your medicines

Take your medicines according to the instructions provided.

Information on how to store your medicines in a safe place is included in the leaflet that comes with your medicines.

You may have questions about your medicines. If you do, please ask us during your appointment or at the pharmacy. Otherwise, you can use the contact details outlined below.
