Congratulations Eoin!

Congratulations to Eoin Glynn who has been awarded our star of the month for August. Eoin is a rehabilitation support worker in Heather ward. Despite only just recently joining the hospital, Eoin has already established himself as a valued member of the therapy team and was nominated for embodying and showcasing “the trust’s WeCare values” in his day-to-day work.

His full nomination reads:

“Eoin recently joined our team as a new staff member for his very first NHS job in London. Immediately, he has found his feet and is truly an asset not only for the therapy team but for the Newham Hospital site as a whole. He embodies the trust’s WeCare values naturally.

“Most of all, I would like to nominate Eoin for his amazing attitude to bring out the very best out of every single patient and his willingness to support the wider multidisciplinary team. He never refuses a task and is always keen to support everyone in the team. I often have to check in on him and make sure he is fully hydrated and taking his breaks, otherwise he would not stop. We have gained an amazing individual to work at the Newham Hospital, and just want to make sure that he knows this as well as everyone else at the hospital.”

Simon Ashton, chief executive for the hospital said: “Eoin has been a great addition to our Heather ward and wider hospital. His caring and collaborative attitude in ensuring our patients receive the best care possible makes him a well-deserved winner of our August star of the month. Well done and thank you Eoin!”
