Dazed Media use creativity to raise money for Barts

Barts charity have teamed up with Dazed Media to launch a poster project that communicates messages, created in response to the changes that COVID-19 has brought to our lives worldwide.

As part of the #AloneTogether campaign celebrating creativity in the age of isolation. Dazed has called on its community of artists, musicians and designers to create artwork that inspire and imagine the possibility of new worlds, explore humanity in the present climate and demonstrate the power of art, as a medium for political message.

Dazed Media has decided to partner with Barts Charity, to help raise emergency funds to help staff cope with the challenges they are facing everyday on the frontline.

Adrian Thomas, from Barts Charity said: “we are delighted to partner with Dazed on this fantastic initiative, channelling creativity and expression during these lockdown times to make a real difference in the fight against COVID-19. As a charity we have strong links to East London, home of course to a thriving and diverse community of creatives and artists. It is therefore fitting that, in these highly unprecedented circumstances, we can work together to say thank you to NHS staff on the frontline by supporting both them and their patients directly.”

Dazed’s has enlisted the support of many creatives such as: Vivienne Westwood, Wolfgang Tillmans, Katharine Hamnett, 3D (Massive Attack) and Extinction Rebellion, plus many more well-known names. All the artists involved in the project have donated their signed artwork to a prize draw and all proceeds will go to Barts charity.

The prize draw has now opened and will close on Tuesday 5 May at 6pm. For an opportunity to win, participants are requested to donate £10 or more to Barts Charity.
