The Minister of State for Health, Ed Argar, visited the Whipps Cross site on Monday 5th July to mark the 73rd birthday of the NHS and to tour the demolition site for the new hospital at Whipps Cross.
Barts Health and other NHS staff who were at the centre of the Covid-19 pandemic were included in a special service of commemoration at St Paul’s Cathedral on Monday 5 July, the anniversary of the health service’s beginning.
Our group chief executive, Alwen Williams, and non-executive members of the Barts Health board paid generous tribute to our retiring chair Ian Peters for his leadership over the last four years.

Our urology and ear, nose and throat (ENT) services at Whipps Cross hospital have resumed tackling their waiting lists for non-complex planned surgeries, following its suspension in response to the pandemic.
