Danny McGuinness, Divisional Director of Acute and Speciality Medicine
Danny is a consultant nephrologist (an expert in the kidneys) and general physician. He joined Newham Hospital from Whipps Cross in October 2023 as divisional director for acute and specialty medicine.
At Whipps Cross he was clinical lead for acute medicine and ambulatory care, where he played a leading, strategic role in the development of Same Day Emergency Care services, development of the consultant and junior workforce and significant improvements in the annual GMC survey of trainee doctors. He has been a member of the Barts Health family since 2015.
